Known facts
- There was high nasalisation
- Tonal manipulations were absent
- Breath control was rudimentary or absent. (ह्रस्व दीर्घ प्लुत) are absent
- Maximum two/three phonemes plus one nasal can be combined in one breath.
- Consonants could be pronounced without a trailing vowel. The trailing vowel was not mandatory. अ at end was not default.
- back-low vowels were difficult/indistinguishable
- with higher epiglottis and larynx, it was possible to peak whille drinking eating
