Sequence of activities
words for numbers are processes to be done in sequence.
Teaching material evolved over time and in turn these words got associated with concept of numbers.
Initially प्रथम द्वितीय तृतीय was three step process. Later, चतुर्थ was added.
Then steps पञ्च to नव/दश were added.
These were mapped to 9 स्वर विभक्ति that were already understood.
This gave raise to what we now call एकवचन सुप प्रत्यय.
Later when Two draft and multi draft boats were conceived, made and instructions were added for the same.
