comments - लिख् are naturally made furrows in inter tidal zones where the incoming tide brings in mussels and small fish that get trapped. the “writting” interpretation is very recent, only 5 to 10 ky. It is possible that लिख् emerged only after that but it does not seem to be the case as literal meaning of लिख् and अक्षरविन्यास both align with hunting at naturally occuring furrows. Also लिख् alligns with cuneiform kind of writing but not with shell and stone engravings.
